I made this for a drawing contest on some forum.
The theme was "Your biggest dream".

Then. Here is my biggest dream.
My biggest dream, as unrealisable as it is, is to be able to observe this world without any space or time limit. This dream is haunting me for years.
To be able to access knowledge, understanding of this universe and, mostly, be able to observe humanity from the outside, for a very long time, to know how far will go it's genius and madness. To observe humanity for ages, to know what they would invent, discover, understand. What will be humanity's future? How far will go technologies, robotic, artificial intelligence? Will humanity grow up or will it drown in some obscurantism? Would it someday conquer some other planet? Meet other population? How will it disappear? 
I feel so frustrated to have to die without having any answer to those questions.
I want, I need! to continue existing (not living, but existing), only to be able to observe this little specie that is so fascinating.
If I could have one and only one wish, it would be to be able to access to this knowledge. This is my true wish. My biggest dream.

So I tried to represent my dream.
Why a cat? Because the "your" in the theme was like asking for a self-portrait. And I always represent myself as a black cat since my childhood. So I represented myself laying in space, looking at the earth, and, mostly, looking at this space-rocket that represents humans' sciences. I'm not supposed to be a god or whatever. Just an observer.
The galaxy/nebula thing in the background is supposed to open the view to another space, showing I'm not only into human's sciences, but also want to know everything about everything in the universe. And those blurry colors also add a "dream" aspect to the drawing.

J'ai réalisé ce dessin pour un concours sur un forum.
Le sujet était "votre plus grand rêve".

Mon plus grand rêve, aussi irréalisable soit-il, et qui, comme tout rêve, vient me hanter la nuit, est bien celui ci : pouvoir observer ce monde sans limites de temps et d'espace. Accéder à la connaissance, la compréhension de cet univers et, surtout, pouvoir observer l'humanité de l’extérieur, sur le long terme, pour savoir jusqu'où iront son génie et sa folie. Observer l'humanité sur les siècles à venir pour savoir ce qu'ils pourront inventer, découvrir, comprendre. Quel sera leur futur? Jusqu'où irons la technologie, la robotique, l'intelligence artificielle? L'humanité grandira-t-elle ou finira-t-elle par se noyer dans l'obscurantisme? Iront-ils un jour conquérir d'autres planètes? Rencontreront-ils d'autres peuples? Comment vont-ils disparaitre? Ca me frustre atrocement d'etre condamné à mourir sans jamais avoir la réponse à toutes ces questions
Je veux continuer à exister -non pas vivre, juste exister- juste pour pouvoir observer cette petite espèce qui, malgré toute la haine que je lui procure, est malgré tout fascinante.

Si je n'avais qu'un vœux à faire, ce serait celui d'accéder à cette connaissance. Car dans le fond, c'est vraiment ce que je souhaite le plus au monde. Mon plus grand rêve.
J'aspire à la connaissance comme d'autres aspirent au grand amour. 

J'ai donc tenté de représenter ce rêve.
Pourquoi un chat? Simplement car le "votre" du sujet imposait un autoportrait et, depuis toujours, je me représente sous les traits d'un chat noir. Je me suis donc représenté moi-même "trainant" dans l'espace, regardant la Terre et, surtout, regardant cette fusée qui représente l'aventure de la science humaine. Je ne suis pas supposé être un dieu ou autre, juste un observateur. 
La galaxie en arrière plan est censée ouvrir l'image vers un horizon plus lointain pour montrer que mon rêve ne se limite pas à la Terre. Je veux tout savoir de cet univers, les pourquoi et les comment de chaque chose. Mais de part ses couleurs et son aspect flou, cet élément est aussi censé apporter un aspect plus "rêve" à l'ensemble du dessin.

- set of ground pictures from the Nasa, used to fill the continents.
- Clouds maps, used to add the clouds on the planet.
